Working out on a regular basis can be very difficult for a hard working mom. I know it because I am a working mother myself. Even before I was married, I was working. It was impossible for me to find time to work out because of the excessive stress at the office and taking care of my family.

However, we shouldn’t let stress be the excuse for not working out! Every one of us has only 24 hours allotted in a day, so if you can fit in all of your daily activities within that 24-hour period, how is it that you cannot find time for exercises? I mean you find time to brush your teeth and take a shower? Why do you do these? Because they are part of your everyday routine. Not brushing you teeth can result to you getting cavities in your teeth. Same can be said about not showering. You can get skin diseases. But do you know that if you don’t workout regularly, you will become fat?

It is not right to use the ‘lack of time’ as an excuse for avoiding exercises. Truthfully: you are probably either afraid of working out or just don’t know where to start! Either way, this article will assist you accomplish your fitness goals!

1. Find a friend to workout with: Working out alone is not always an enjoyable experience. However, you will likely start loving to do exercises if you workout with a friend! Plus seeing someone else working out in the gym will motivate you to continue with your exercise routine! Extra point if you workout with another working mom with the same fitness goals as you!

2. Use an IPOD: Take an IPOD with you whenever you hit the gym. This will keep you from getting bored while working out at the gym!

3. Do what you love: There are exercises that you probably don’t love to do; if you force yourself to do these exercises you will very likely to become bored from them! Instead, find some exercises you will love doing and you will not get bored!

4. Start out slow to win the race: If you are starting out exercising, it is only natural that you will be afraid to exercise at the gym. When people say that you will have to exercise everyday to lose weight, ignore them. Instead, try to take it easy: start by working out only for fifteen to twenty minutes per day, for two or three days a week. As your body gets accustomed to your new workout routine, you can scale up the intensity of your workouts!
