House Supports Warehouse Aid, Higher Multifamily Limits

The U.S. House of Representatives has passed legislation that would raise the multifamily limit on properties with elevators, the Mortgage Bankers Association announced. The higher limits will make it possible to fund, build and rehabilitate high-rise housing. "And finally, we are gratified to see Congress go on record in stating that HUD, Treasury and the FHFA ought to use their existing statutory and reguatory authority to help solve the crisis in warehouse lending," the trade group added.
