Capmark Financial Group Inc. issued a press release over the weekend indicating that it had filed a voluntary petition for relief under Chapter 11 of the U.S. Bankruptcy Code. Capmark said it plans to use bankruptcy to restructure and cut its corporate debt. Dozens of Capmark subsidiaries also filed, according to the announcement.
