Nine banks failed on Friday, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation announced. The institutions were all subsidiaries of Oak Park, Ill.-based FBOP Corp. The National Credit Union Administration reported that Second Baptist Church Credit Union andFirst Delta Federal Credit Union were both closed last week. In addition, the Mortgage Lender Implode-O-Meter reported on the closing of Envision Lending Group, Stockton Turner & Co. and the wholesale operations of AME Financial Corp. and The Lending Co.
